When I started this blog, I told myself I will always be honest with everything I write here. Successes and disappointments, road blocks and how I overcame them. Or not. I'm fortunate enough to chronicle so many adventures and by the skin of my teeth, always manage to come out, if I may say so, a stronger person. I guess you can say I had it coming. I did everything that a runner should NOT do before an ultrarun:
Not clock in sufficient      mileage during training;
Not get proper nutrients days      before race day;
Not train under      anticipated conditions of the race route (e.g. high humidity, intense heat      of the sun);

Mt. Napulawan is famous for its “cardiac trail” and I experienced firsthand why it was notoriously known as such during the Hungduan Climbathon 2011 held yesterday. There were few runners willing to take on 16-kilometer race at the monster that is the 15th highest summit in the country.

My favorite season refused to be ignored during the Camaya Coast Aquathlon and Trail Run held at Camaya Coast, Mariveles, Bataan yesterday.  It was definitely sunshine and blue skies all the way! Happy as I was of the great weather, I realized combining it with an extreme trail run may not have been such a good idea! Hehe!
